<div>The South Downs National Park Authority (SDNPA) have teamed up with Deer Stalker Ben Marks to create The Deer Project.&nbsp; <br><br>Ben is an independent Deer Stalker based in Graffham, near Petworth, West Sussex. He shoots seasonal wild deer and butchers them in his own facility into a large variety of cuts &amp; bbq packs, and processes his own sausages &amp; burgers. <br><br>Ben has collaborated with the Brighton and Hove Food Partnership and the SDNPA to develop a (quarter) venison 'Browsing Box' along side their Sussex Grazed lamb, goat and beef boxes which are sourced from conservations grazing animals. <br><br><strong>Fair Game &amp; Virtuous Venison</strong><br>"The South Downs National Park Authority, The National Trust, Natural England and the British Deer Society – have begun a coordinated effort to train a more diverse demographic of deer stalkers. Organic, grass fed mixed farm in Surrey

<div>The Brown family have run a mixed farm in the Cuckmere Valley, located in the South Downs National Park for over a century. The grazing of cattle, sheep and goats across the farm helps to manage, maintain and improve the areas of precious chalk grassland found along the South Downs. The cattle and sheep graze on the Downs all year round, calving and lambing in the Spring. The animals are fed a mix of grass, forage and grains all of which is grown on the farm.</div><div>Alongside the large areas of Downland grass, they have also planted multispecies herb and legume grass leys. These leys help build both soil &amp; animal health, enhancing biodiversity and are helping to move the business towards a more resilient model, requiring fewer inputs. They believe this can be achieved through greater integration between the livestock and arable enterprises.&nbsp;</div>
