The West Arms
About The story of the West Arms itself dates back to 1570, when it was a farmhouse belonging to local gentry. Those centuries of providing warmth and hospitality to travellers are part of the fabric of the West Arms. Low ceilings, natural slate floors and roaring inglenook fires create the perfect ambience in which to enjoy the delicious food prepared by award winning chef Grant Williams. Seasonal dishes lovingly prepared using fresh local produce can be enjoyed in the award winning restaurant or amidst the laid back comfort of the bar. Jasper and Sam are Nicky and Markās four-legged family and you will find them wherever you find Nicky and Mark ā why would you come to the best walking area in Wales and not bring your four-legged friend, so the West Arms encourages you to bring your little mates with you. The hotel is fully dog-friendly and they are as welcome as you are. The only place the doggies donāt go is the main restaurant, since we couldnāt really ask them to control themselve
The West Arms Restaurant
About The love of serving up delicious food and drink is as old as the human race and itās a love which is at the very heart of what makes our gourmet getaway so special one of the top North Wales restaurants. For our chef Grant Williams, making sure that each and every plate we serve is pretty much perfect is a vocation. To call cooking his passion would be an understatement, just like saying that he loves his kitchen would be putting things mildly. Grant takes influences gathered whilst travelling the globe and turns them into stunning seasonal treats, using locally sourced ingredients. Grant loves the West Arms and his passion extends beyond the kitchen and the West Arms to the whole Ceiriog Valley. He knows how to showcase the best produce the valley has to offer, whether itās Lady Kenyon of Greddingtonās homegrown fruit and veg, Josh Williamsā free range eggs, Dave Keegan of Llanrhaedr ym Mochantās Welsh lamb and beef or Rosie Daviesā edible flowers, youāll be sure to be tucking i
